Boker’s All-Inclusive Resource for Stampings and Washer The 2022 Catalog Is Now Available
For over 100 years, Boker’s has been a leading manufacturer of precision, made-to-order metal stampings and washers, serving companies on the forefront of technology innovation around world; including aerospace and aviation, electronic measurement and testing, renewable energy, medical, outdoor recreation and more.
The new, 72-page catalog features Boker’s expansive line of non-standard washer, spacer and shim sizes available, allowing customers to choose from a wide variety of sizes, thickness and materials with no tooling charges. The stock tool range of sizes includes outside diameters of 0.080” to 5.140” with a wide variety of inside diameters available. Boker’s also manufactures special shapes and sizes up to 12” in diameter, as well as a large range of inside diameters and thicknesses.

Boker’s Offers Manufacturing Capabilities for Cutlery and Hand Tool Applications
Boker’s stampings, washers and shims are used within the cutlery market in products such as fixed blade knives, folding pocket knives and multi-tools. The multi-tool market uses Boker’s spacers and shims to minimize friction and wear between moving parts. On the fixed blade side of the industry Boker’s provides spacers and handle slabs to be mounted to the blade.

When celebrating Boker’s 100th Anniversary in 2019 we took the opportunity to interview several long-term employees; Randy was glad to share a perspective from his career at Boker’s. Randy said, “You get one year of experience 46 times (now, 50) and soon you know every position on the shop floor. All the employees are willing to help each other out – we have a real strong bond. It’s like family.”

PMA Business Conditions Report: Feb 24, 2021
There was little change in metal forming companies’ forecast for business conditions during the next three months, according to the February 2022 Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) Business Conditions Report. Prepared monthly, the report provides an economic indicator for manufacturing, sampling 103 metal forming companies in the United States and Canada.
PMA’s February report shows that 58% of metal forming companies expect no change in general economic activity in the next three months (increasing from 56% in January), 32% anticipate an increase in activity (compared to 37% last month) and 10% predict a decrease in activity (compared to 7% in January).
